Bolton Metro Swim Squad would like to invite you to our Christmas Countdown Meet on Saturday, 2nd & Sunday, 3rd December 2023, at The Jason Kenny Centre, Moor Lane, Bolton, BL3 5BN.

Looking to clock your County times before we wrap up the year? This is the perfect occasion.

Accepted entries

We're pleased to announce that there are no rejections this year and all submitted entries have been accepted.

Withdrawals

All withdrawals must be made via the online form and must be submitted at least 50 minutes before the start of the event session.

Warmup and Programme

• Day 1, Session 1 — Warm up: 8:20 am / Start: 9:30 am

• Day 1, Session 2 — Warm up: 12:50 / Start: 14:00

• Day 2, Session 1 — Warm up: 8:20 am / Start: 9:30 am
• Day 2, Session 2 — Warm up: 12:50 / Start: 14:00

Spectators

The meet will run a normal door, and tickets are not needed in advance.

Entry fees (per person)

Cash or card on the door. Although we are not limiting numbers per family, we ask that you are considerate to other parents wishing to spectate.

Poolside Passes

In compliance with the new Swim England policy concerning the supervision ratio, Bolton Metro is committed to alleviating the financial burden on participating clubs. Therefore, there will be a flat fee of £15.00 per club, regardless of the number of coaches and/or team managers present poolside.

All team staff must be DBS checked and have undertaken a relevant safeguarding course (e.g., Swim England Safeguarding course) to gain a coaches/team manager pass and access to the poolside and the swimmer’s seating area. Any parent of a swimmer attending without their club wishing to chaperone their child must also be DBS checked to gain a pass. Coaches and team staff MUST wear the wristbands provided. Bolton Metro will NOT be responsible for any unaccompanied swimmers on the poolside. The responsibility falls on the club entering the swimmer.

Named pass holders will be checked, and anyone not meeting the criteria cannot access the venue.

N.B. Any club that has already purchased more than one pass will be contacted and issued a refund.

Officials

As a Level 3 meet, all officials must be qualified, and because of this, we heavily rely on supporting club’s volunteers assisting us with officiating duties. If any officials are able to help with a day, a morning, a single session, please can you either leave your availability on officials finder or email Debbie King bmss.officials@outlook.com

We are offering full expenses, food and drink provided.

Visiting Clubs are requested to provide at least one qualified J1 or J2 Official if your club has 20 or more swimmers entering our meet. Please complete the form included in the meet pack, which can be forwarded along with the summary of entries form. The fee for Poolside Passes will be waived for any club providing one or more technical officials for both days. Please complete a poolside pass request and make this clear on the form.
